Seven years ago we bought a brand new house with dirt for a yard. The first couple of years we were lucky to get grass growing and we never thought about what the yard could look like as it was not a priority. Then we decided we would purchase a garden structure or feature every spring in order to enhance the look and feel of either the front or back yards. We’ve added a water feature otherwise known as a fish pond that my four year old son adores and a shed that was more a necessity than a fun so last year I put my foot down for something that was more along the line of pretty.
So last year we went shopping for something with a feminine touch for me and concentrated on looking at arbors until I found the perfect one for our backyard. My husband wasn’t sold on the idea but I stood my ground. He did a great job at getting it put together and installed and then I planted a flowering vine on each side and it has become our favorite item that we have bought so far with the exception of the four year old who would rather throw rocks in the pond.
