Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease also known as the acronym COPD
is a complication where the airways in the lungs are partially blocked.
The airways are narrowed thus resulting in the limitation of the airflow
to the lungs causing shortness of breath. Chronic bronchitis and
emphysema which can compromise lung function are included in COPD. With
