Seven years ago we bought a brand new house with dirt for a yard. The first couple of years we were lucky to get grass growing and we never thought about what the yard could look like as it was not a priority. Then we decided we would purchase a garden structure or feature every spring in order to enhance the look and feel of either the front or back yards. Have you ever been invaded by raccoons? Every morning I see signs of them in my compost pile. But instead of being irritated by these late night invaders, I’ve grown rather fond of them.
