As the weather turns cooler, my thoughts often turn to stews and soups. Both are among my favorite winter foods. Here’s my favorite fall and winter soup recipe. It’s called a 5 can bean soup. It’s really more of a method than an actual recipe. You basically pick 5 different cans of beans and pour them all in a large pot. Add some seasonings, heat and serve. It’s one of those great go-to meals when your fridge is empty and you just don’t have time to run to the grocery store that week. (Which seems to happen to me about every other week or so).
